I remember the invite-fest that followed its initial launch. It seems to have calmed off dramatically - well short of verb status. Am I alone in thinking this? Has the thing been a runaway success without me noticing?

When in Rome

What does a geek do when in Rome for the weekend? He visits the Anfiteatrum Flavium and checks out the Serif typefaces.

He also scores an Escher exhibition at Musei Capitolini that he stumbles upon quite by accident.

He does not access his e-mails though. Then, when he comes back on Monday night, there are about 800 of them infesting the inbox.

Sometime thereafter, he rediscovers the fundamentals of tenses in the English language and resumes making sense (after a fashion).
