go. Hmmmm. Given that it is from Google this will get lots of interest obviously. Will it kill all other programming languages at Google? How long will it be before someone writes a compiler/translator that turns Python into Go, Go into Python, Javascript into Go, Go into Javascript?
Have I seen this movie before?

Urgl. It has brackets, and "for i:=0; i < x; i++" loops, and... well.... it looks like C with garbage collection. Which I guess is an improvement. But not much.
Hi Sean,
This isn't a comment on this particular post, but I haven't been able to find an e-mail for you.
This concerns a document you wrote a while ago: "Push and Pull Message Delivery in the PSB Architecture". I found it very useful at the time to explain when and why to prefer either mechanism, and find myself explaining this to others in the context of transferring Open Access journal articles around. I'd like to be able to point them at your document, but unfortunately it's no longer available from [http://sdec.reach.ie/news/pushpull ].
I've been in touch with Tadgh O'Leary at the Technology Policy Division in the Dept of Finance, who gave me a copy of the document and said I was free to redistribute it. I'd like to put the document back on the web, but wanted to check that you were happy with this, and give you the chance to republish it yourself, if that's what you'd prefer.
So, are you happy for the document to be republished? If so, would you prefer to do it yourself?
Best regards,
jim
Jim,
Go ahead!

Sean
